Still, I don’t think it’s a bad for a $25 Brunswick Beauty .

I took a look at mine and found one scale on a pitcher . I nuked it with Bio Advanced so hopefully that does the trick.

Maybe it's not the best idea placing it with your other (nice looking) purps?
Perhaps some quarantining and isolation would work...

Yep, it’s in a quarantine zone now as well. Keeping my fingers crossed no scale went from it to my other purps in the maybe six hours it was around them.

I really like purps, but most are over $30...
Calen Hall has a couple nice ones for sale, but they're 5 bucks over your price limit:
  • S. purpurea ssp. venosa Tatnall Co. GA - possibly the best venosa strain out there. Lots of these are getting solid red bodies as well. Just stunning little jewels. Medium - $25
  • S. purpurea “Veinless” - Crossed two vigorous parents with very ruffly lids! Traps open vivid yellow green with a gorgeous copper blush that slowly fades. There is purp purp in these so should be good to go in colder climates. Vigorous! Medium - $25
I have both of these, and I'm very pleased with them. The Tattnall County plants are incredibly colorful, and the Veinless plant just glows in the sun. I posted some pics here.

I very highly recommend Calen for Sarracenia as well. His Tatnall Co. venosas are beauties and I can’t believe he’s only charging $25 ea. for them!

I've been growing those 2 for years now.

This past spring, I got this little gem from Cook's:
