I decided to take a bunch of my nice-looking Typicals and put them into one large pot. I used a bonsai training pot, 17.5 x 10.25 x 5.5 inches / 44.5 x 26 x 14 centimeters. The internal volume is 3.6 gallons / 13.7 liters. The pot has a good set of drainage holes, and it took me a while to find a tray that was big enough for the pot without a lot of wasted space (it's anyone's guess how well this white-plastic serving tray will hold up outdoors).

Some of these flytraps are seed-grown offspring of my plants, and others are my "European imports" (the flytraps that barely survived the trip from Slovakia last year). I picked just 18 pots of flytraps for this because I didn't want to pack them together like so many sardines in a can (a couple pots had more than one plant in them). The plants have plenty of "elbow room"; I expect the pot to be full of divisions in a couple years.

Great idea. Even better would be a faux (very faux) bonsai arrangement with gravel stream running under a wee bridge, and some flytraps up on craggy mountains.

You should throw one of those sundews in. They’d take over that pot in no time.
