Have to remember most people use "Day/Light" for their screen. I use night so the color stood out better. Changed it. Thanks!

Honestly, I've heard of people doing it before but I feel like it would increase the chance of rot. The media itself won't kill the ping but too much moisture may harm it. I use the mix I do for high aeration and a mild wicking for the plant. I don't think I would tray a ping in LFS unless it was a low level, like ceph low.

So far, I’ve had excellent luck with LFSM for my pings. I haven’t had any success with other mediums. Here are all my pings in 100% LFSM. Image

Wow, nice work! There is more than one way to reach the goal. I sometimes use alternative mediums for different plants. Most use like a 70/30 sand mix for cephalotus because of their roots and I use LFS with them.

Out of curiosity, how high do you keep the water level?

By the way, thanks for posting a picture of them! I'm glad they held up well. In a couple of months that pot is going to fill up :lol:
