"Bulldog" paph hybrids are great starters. They're super easy hybrids and like warmer temps.

And yes, roths is a tropical paph from Borneo. When I grew it it was a slower one for me though.

I thought the Bulldog types were intermediate growers and the Maudiae types were the ones that grew warm?

I grow my "Bulldog" hybrids warm and they seem to do fine. Honestly really hardy plants. For me, the ones with more mottled leaves like warmer and ones with pure green like cooler.
