I bought a ping from California Carnivores about a month ago and today I noticed this tiny little sprout growing in its pot.

Still a bit small to be 100% sure but looks like a capensis. A very easy species that likes a little more light to really flourish compared to your ping. If you're growing your ping on a windowsill, anything more than 3-4 hours is great. Anything more than about 5-6 hours is what the sundew will like. Under LEDs, pings do great with 10-12 hours while sundews really shine with 14+.

That's the fun part of ordering off of California carnivores. They tend to have random hitchhikers that you can raise if you don't have them yet.

I had a similar situation with a relatively local nursery, but I forgot to water one year and they died. :?
