I keep the soil moist and it's always in distilled or rain water.

Just repotted it. Does this look healthy and potted ok! Used peat moss. Is the pot too small? It's much bigger than the container it came in, so i assume all is well.

It’s looks great. The pot looks to be a good size, is it terra-cotta or stone because if it is I would recommend potting it’s in plastic. Terra-cotta get moldy and slimy after a bit and stone will at nutrients to your soil.

I'll look at getting a different pot- it is terra cotta.

What would you recommend? It outgrew its original plastic which is why I moved it.

I would go for a plastic pot they simple and cheap or you could do a glazed terra-cotta which is more expensive but looks nice. When I say soak the soil I don’t mean in then saucer, let me explain. Peat moss has a saw dust appearance when it is dry, if you pour water on it while it is dry the water just float on top. In order to get it “wet” all you need to do is put some peat in a ziplock bag, pour some water and close it. Squeeze and knees the bag like dough until it appears almost black and wet then it will be ready. Hopefully all that makes sense

You need to wet the peat before you use it. It will not soak up enough water. Add the peat and perlite to a bag and massage it to mix it. Or, put it in a bucket and use your hands to work the water through.
