I’m on a roll with butterwort questions. Anyways, would it be viable to leave butterworts outside in full sun for the day if I were to offer a sheet of plexiglass to shield it? Or perhaps two sheets?

no problem to leave them outside, however in the shade, partial shade or in the morning sun if it is not too strong.
also make sure you have a substrate that is always moist but not wet
