looks still green in the center. there could be a slim chance to save it, its worth a try. First, I would get it out of that pot and throw that media away. A new pot, or disinfect that one with warm water and a tad bleach. put a new cp media and keep it moist but not wet, and plenty of light.

yep, I would repot it and then spray it with water to clean off all the crud. make sure to strip the brown material off the crown so no mold grows there.

I agree with the others. The soil looks like it's been in that pot for a while. Take the plant out and remove all the soil you can from the roots, then remove all the brown rotten mushy stuff from the roots and crown. Any left, like Crazy Carnivores said, will induce mold growth. After a thorough rinsing off after that, put in a fresh pot of peat moss with perlite mixed in or even Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss. Then set it in a sunny spot and wait a few weeks (watering it as needed) and see if it comes back.
