so i am messing around with making more "Drosera filiformis tracyi - Florida Giant" to make a big display for next year. the water method seems to be a lot slower for me than just cutting a 2in peace and sticking it in the pot, i get more with water but they are so tiny.

this was what i got from just potting cuttings vs water at the same time.(camera is bad so all u can see on water is blurry specs on side of leaf)

and this is phase 2 i started to day going to try using a plastic bottle with top off to keep humid in the house until i can get them started and moved outside without dome.

any advice or idea's?

update - new growth
Image
also moved the pot outside into dappled sun shade where i keep my highland nepenthes. hoping the heat will speed things along, also started a 2nd pot today. the plan is to harden off plants after i can see digestive glands on all new plants then start increasing light until full sun. hope they will be ready for dormancy in time.

this picture is the test run i did to see if this method would work for me i transplanted it from my captensis pot

30 Days after taking cuttings and final update.

notes...
I used 2 inch cuttings half of cutting under media.
The window was bright indirect light all day and 3-4 hours of direct sun.
I think the open top of bottle and house AC stopped over heating in the short direct sun hours.
In the 30 days of this post 90% of the growth was in the last 10, be patient. =)

Ok so the adult plant is showing signs of preparing to go dormant this is a fresh pic of the clones. I'm hoping they are good to just let go dormant too at this size. Any advice?
