Hello everyone! I had noticed some powdery substance on my Cephalotus leaves. I had also noticed a couple orange dots. The plant is growing on my windowsill with a supplementary grow light, and seems to be happy. Does anyone think that this may be powdery mildew... or even... spider mite damage? If so, any recommendations for pesticides/fungicides that are Cephalotus safe?

Cephalotus seem highly susceptible to powdery mildew. I hope you have better luck getting rid of it than I did. I have had it a few times over the years and it was always challenging to get rid of.

I'd guess pretty much anything that is used for treating powdery mildew should be safe to use at the recommended dosage.

Yes, I believe that's powdery mildew. All my cephs got infected with it last winter and it was a pain to get rid of. I used the recommended dosage of sulphur fungicide. It melts the mildew like butter :D.

I just applied this pesticide (sulfur based). The spray was a bit more intense then I had planned and some of it did get on the soil. Will this hurt the plant?
