Thats most likely just a plain 'T-form' and won't branch further than that... T-form is usually a weed in most people's collections.

Most likely you can get away without giving it winter dormancy for one season in order to grow it out. It's done with flytraps at times so I don't see why not. Just make sure to give it dormancy next year.
