I started my collection in Zone 6A (Central Massachusetts). I grew Sarracenia Leucophylla, Sarracenia Minor, Drosera Filiformis, VFT's and live, long fiber spagnum moss.

I moved to Zone 9a (Tucson, Arizona).

I acclimated the plants slowly to the heat and sun, but in early spring a lot of the Sarracenia traps were sun burned, even in the shade under a Palo Verde. I moved them up near the house where they would only get morning and late afternoon sun.

The Leuco's did great, but the Minors were still small and burnt. The VFT's thought this was "Club Med" and went nuts. The Sundews just died away.

The Minors (my fav), were 3yo when I planted them 5y ago. Could they just be too old? I don't know. I do know they need transplanting.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
--Mike

How are your night time temp drops? When the nights are up in the 90+ Minor seems to really be happy, or for me anyway.

The nights are about 85, down from the day highs of 90+. Now that we're near the end of Sept., the days and nights are cooler. There's still some new growth on the Minors, but the pitchers are still staying small.

I'm planning a full re-pot in Dec/Jan.
