One of the pitchers on my Hummers giant died. I opened it up and noticed that there was green stuff inside of it. It looked like algae to me. I've only had this plant for a couple of weeks. I don't water it to much. I let the water dry out before i water again. The plant is still healthy. Is there a way to kill algae? How do you prevent algae from growing inside the pitchers?

i think you just saw decomposed insects, i don't know how algae would get in a pitcher, but then i am not an expert at algae & all that stuff...i just saw the word ceph and BAM! next thing you know i am posting...

Without crisp close-up photos or anything we can only guess. You shouldn't be getting algae IN pitchers. It was most likely digestive enzymes, and like DM said, there may have been decomposed insects in it as well - but I don't know if you feed it.
