Hello all! So I have finally acquired a cobra lily! However, the media it is in seems to be pretty loose and even the plant itself is quite loose in the soil. Should I repot it? Will it affect the plant negatively?ImageImageImage

I would add substrate to the pot to minimize the amount of shock because you just bought it.

I would second that, If you remove it you will cause the plant some stress and there is no guarantee that repotting it will make it any better, depends on what the roots are like. the media will settle in a short time or you could help it with a few gentle taps, although an open texture isn't bad for Darlingtonia I grow most of mine in trays in pure sphagnum moss, only 3-4" deep, the roots also need oxygen. It would be better to let it grow roots and stabilise itself IMHO

Cheers and good luck
