Hi all,
So I've been growing carnivorous plants for a while, Nepenthes, Dioneae, drosera, etc, and have been eyeing Drosophyllum for a while as something a bit more challenging and interesting to grow. The problem is, I live in MI, which has some really erratic weather, especially in winter. Any thoughts on growing a Dewy pine indoors under grow lights, maybe a Mars hydro?
Thanks so much in advance!

I'm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
My climate is similar to yours. I grow Drosophyllum under LED lighting in my very cool basement.
The MarsHydro 300 is about 24 inches above the rack.
So far, it's been growing well.
The only unusual thing I noticed was that the plant started growing in an unusual manner early this Fall.
It looked like a Gordian Knot, almost Crestate in its growth pattern.
Petar Kostov says this is not unusual and not to worry about it.
Here are a couple I just took.
The LEDs supply adequate light.
There is no sign of etiolation that I can see.

Thanks for prompt reply and great info, I think I'll ask for some equipment for my birthday :) Also, do you ever bring your plant outside during the summer? That is some interesting growth, I wonder what it's a result of. Btw, that is a beautiful plant! :D
