This flower has shown up in my yard for the past 18 years. It only shows up late summer and only blooms for 2 weeks. Even the stalk is only there for a month or so. Can anyone tell me what this is . I'm guessing its a sundew, probably because of coming here, reading and getting seeds. I've taken a real interest in sundews lately. If anyone can identify this flower it will be appreciated. :D

It looks like a Lycoris.
I used to grow Lycoris squirmagera, "Surprise Lilies".
In the late Spring, early Summer, there would be leaves appearing, similar to Daffodil leaves.
The leaves would die back to nothing in early Summer.
In late Summer, early Autumn, a flower stalk would appear out of nowhere, grow so fast you could almost see it growing and open a radial circle of flowers.

Good growing,
Mike
