While I'm sure many of the more knowledgeable members here are familiar with the incident and the plant, a breakout of a type of carnivorous plants occurred in Britain some time ago. These plants actually ate a few people and created much concern for a time. The British filmed a documentary about it that was obscure and not known to many younger people these days. We should all be careful with our seed imports to make sure this species does not accidentally recur.

Here's a link to more information and a pic of the species to look out for. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007vv66Apparently a well-known British CP vendor may have been influenced by this incident.
