Greetings from Charlotte, NC. I have always dreamed of having a little carnivorous plant garden. Since I am out of work for the summer I thought there would be no better time to start. I found some vft's in a grocery store on my way back home from Asheville and made the leap to vft mommahood.

I'm a beginner but I'm excited to learn. I want my little gal to thrive!

Cheers!

Edit: I have a couple photos uploaded of my plant if you would like to see her!

Welcome to the forums! There's a lot of good information and shared experiences here along with plenty of people willing to help! Luckily for you, where you live just happens to be where Venus Flytraps are native to, so it should be easier than most other people for you to grow them outside.

But, if you ever need help with basic information, go here https://www.flytrapcare.com/venus-fly-trap-growing

Or if you want to get help through the forums, look through here beginners-before-posting-your-question- ... 11581.html

Good luck!

Yes. Post pictures. I know of 5 people on this forum from NC and one lives in Charlotte NC. Welcome. I am on the coast in Southeastern NC. Read the guides but don't be afraid to ask questions.
