So my LFSM is turning green...what does this mean? Too much water? Or is it irrelevant?

When I got my LFSM, it was in a compressed dehydrated brick. I put it in a bucket with water to hydrate it, and after repotting everything I was left with a bucket of distilled water that had traces of LFSM in it. I didn’t want to waste my distilled water so I figured I would use it to water everything.
The bucket has been sitting in my outdoor room, which gets pretty hot, and the water has about a half cup of small LFSM pieces.
Maybe this was the source of the algae? If not, my second guess would be that I’ve been watering too much.
