Hello guys,I am wondering that ı have a sarracenia flava and it don't want rain water but in the nature some water will enter the pitchers and ı added some rain water to pitchers is it a good idea ı think it will help the digestion.

The plant makes its own digestive juices. Wouldn't adding water dilute these and perhaps slow things down? Also, it can cause the pitchers to tip over, which is unsightly.

I put a dilute maxsea fertilizer in them and it doesn't cause any problems, plus the plants grow nicely. It isn't strictly needed though. It never rains here in CA so there's only going to be water inside if the plant or I put it there.

Flava don’t need water, generally you can take a clue from the plants lid as to whether to add water or not. If it covers the pitcher opening such as flava, leucophylla etc then no, but if they are vertical to catch water, such as purpurea and it’s hybrids then if it dries out internally then yes you can.
