All of my nepenthes are in humidity domes with heat mats underneath and doing amazing. You can also put it in a storage tub with seran wrap over it and a heat mat if you live in a colder place. Just make sure it has holes for some air flow :)

My mini Greenhouse.
Seedling heat mat on Nep shelf

My first Nep was N. ampullaria x spectabilis. I bought the Greenhouse to baby it.

Image

I started it in a big bowl of LFS with the pot sitting on a 2” riser. Heat pad under.
LED spotlight. Loosely covered in plastic.

Lovely. I had the same greenhouse. After a year or so, it got nasty though. Make sure you have a good airflow :)

I’m looking into fans. For now I open it up several times a day.

That’s good! I had fans too, I just couldn’t keep it from getting moldy :/

Not like severely moldy, but bad enough to develop a mild smell. Thankfully I transitioned to a freezer (but my setup is highland :D)

So far so good ImageImageImageImageImageImage.

I’m growing
N. ampullaria x spectabilis
N. Helen x spectabilis
N. burkeii x hamata
N. spectabilis x veitchii
N. tenuis
( the tenuis was growing under intermediate conditions when I bought it).

Currently mine is set for intermediate conditions.

Very warm/humid daytime
With about a 20° drop at night.
But still humid and above 65°F

I use the same lowland tent setup as tannerm and Coursair, though only for the cold months (November-March). The plants are in 20x10 greenhouse trays with some lighting diffuser on the bottom to prevent root rot. In these conditions they get watered every other day or so.

I use HO T5s about 10-12 inches away from the plants (14/10 photoperiod) and I have one fan inside to circulate air when the lights are on. RH is around 60-70%, so not great, but most of my Neps adapted to it without many problems. With the lights on, the temperature reaches the low to mid 80s. Lots of the Neps get red leaves with the strong light.

Overall, I don't think it's the best set-up for dedicated lowland growing. But I only use it for the winter months so it suffices for me.
