My Pinguicula moranensis f Vera Paz flower has been open about a week so I figure it's time to self-pollinate it.
There is probably a right way to do this.
But I know practically nothing about Pings so I pulled off the petals.
This allowed me to see what I was doing.
Ping flowers are designed to prevent easy self pollination.
I got the pollen off the anthers and spread it around.
If I see any swelling in the next few weeks, I'll know I was successful.

Good growing,
Mike

As long as the pistil and surrounding area aren’t damaged, you should be fine. The “spreading around” description is a little vague; you want to get the pollen onto the outer surface/edge of the curtain-like stigma. Most Mexican pings are not self-fertile but evidently there have been some cases where it’s worked. Keep your fingers crossed. :-)
