Do you guys know what will happen if a VFT doesnt eat enough insects and should I feed it if that happens?

VFTs don't really need insects to survive and grow. Mine did fine without even having functioning traps for quite a while (A month or so?). I don't really like feeding them either because their traps look better open.

If you put it outside in the summer it should catch all that it needs. Sometimes before dormancy I also feed mine "artificially" with moist fish food pellets just so they have a little boost and nutrients stored up in the rhizome. I stopped paying attention to what my flytraps catch since I have a lot of plants, so other than the one feeding per year that I do my plants are on their own.
