Guys, Im new to VFT keeping and I have a quick question as Im trying to put my VFT to Dormancy for the very first time: Is that black part a sign of Dormancy or just a dead leaf? Image

It's a dead leaf. My preferred method of dormancy is to keep them inside under grow lights (6500K 1450 lumen Daylight CFL bulbs from the hardware store) and run it on a short photoperiod (8am-5pm). They start growing in rosettes using this method and I think that's enough. The refrigerator method tends to rot plants in my experience and outside they freeze solid. Plus, I have so many now I would need to buy a separate fridge, so a little impractical as well.
