old post some 9 years old
How many people actually read post way back
I normally read posts 2 to three years old
Would it be better if posts 6, 7,8,9 years old be deleted . There must be a handful of people who actually read them most post are questions which have been answered again and again

I wouldn't mind if posts were locked after a certain period of time or if a question thread was answered thoroughly. Deleting them is a bit much since I often search old threads for answers or extra information.

It is aggravating when a newish user resurrects a many years old thread when the people discussing are likely not active users anymore.

I read old threads too. I have to stop myself from posting sometimes, because the questions are either unanswered or not explained completely.

Growers who experiment with different techniques use old posts to see if their ideas have been tried before, and whether or not they worked.

I very frequently browse and search old posts when I get a goofy idea. Often, someone else had the same idea. They tried it and killed all their plants. I try to learn from their mistakes.

Maybe really old posts could be marked in some way, either a message next to the subject, or the subject could have a different-colored font?

Deleting old threads completely would inevitably erase some valuable information that perhaps has not been discussed in great detail on here in several years (TC or other propagation techniques, etc.), and hinder its purpose as the information database that it is.

That kind of talk is why we no longer have any clue regarding the building of the ancient pyramids, Stonehenge, or the Coral Castle, for starters.
