I'm looking for the perfect plant for my outdoor conditions. I need a plant that:
-Tolerates heat and sun
-Tolerates HEAVY rainfall
-Absolutely beautiful
-Easily propagateable
-No dormancy
I believe some utricularia meet these conditions. Is my only choice nepenthes? If so, here are conditions for just outside my doorstep AKA weird area (patio?)
-Part sun
-Light to medium rain
-Cool looking
-No dormancy
And what about for my room?
-Shade, not deep shade, but shade.
-No rain
-Enjoyable
-Small dormancy acceptable
And my weird tiny garden with a single faucet area?
-Part sun
-HEAVY rainfall
-No dormancy
-Neglect resistant

Lowland Nepenthes would be the best bet, though they don't tend to like too much light. If you could get ahold of a Nepenthes madagascariensis I bet it would thrive outside though.

Otherwise, I would suggest looking at Australian Utricularia, such as U. fulva. It grows in shallow water and likes sun and heat. Some Australian sundews from the indica or petiolaris complexes may work too though I'm not sure how they'd tolerate the rain.
