So just a little question.. My sarracenias had been doing great last year and were doing OK over winter. But now i put them outside and old pitchers started to die from the top. I hopw that this is just because they are old. Or should l be worried? But otherways they are feeling good, growing new pitchers and are not looking sick in any way :)
Thanks :!:

They do die back from the top so it could be normal but it is difficult to tell without a picture. If it has new healthy pitchers, it sounds normal.

If they are last seasons pitchers this is normal. Sarracenia pitchers only last a season, ocassionally a few pitchers might survive until spring but The norm is they die off and make room for new growth.
