Hi everyone! Its been quite a long time since I came on this forums. So some of you know I live in Singapore where the day temperatures can be anywhere up to the hot 35 degrees celcius, buut its mostly cooler about 30-33. I had a minor before but it died due to root rot, probably due to the temperatures. So now I am in luck. A person selling CPs contacted me about how she is selling a quite big Minor x Heterodoxa and some minors, I know that minor x heterodoxa is a tough species, how tough can it really be against singapore's temperatures? This few weeks the nights are quite cold, at about 26 degrees celcius. I am thinking of just putting the heliamphora at my grow shelf under the 32 watts LED strip lights along with my other plants and install a humidifier and a small electric fan to help with cooling, this is less costly. Or I buy another grow shelf but this time it has a transparent sheet covering the shelf and has a zip so you can open it. Then i will install LED lights, humidifer and some fans to help with cooling. This is more costly but i think it kind of helps more as it is like a terrarium unlike my current open grow shelf. Also may i know some of the basic care of helis? Like how often and how to water them, soil media, division etc? Thank you so much and any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I have a basic care page: http://bluegrasscarnivores.com/helipage ... ation.html

However, if you want Singapore advice specific, there is a Singapore CP forum that might be more help.
I know one of the moderators and they have a couple Heliamphora.
