So its been a while a couple months plus since i planted the nepenthes ventrata cuttings i received! I was super worried because i havent had much luck with anything since i started growing anything carnivorous. Well i saw this today on one of the cuttings!! If im right its a new growth right? Should i just keep doing what im doing? Do i need to cut the brown parts off??

Congratulations!
You're doing fine, just keep doing the same thing, it's working.
That is definitely new growth, it's a new growing point.
I wouldn't cut anything off. Just leave it. But that's just my opinion.
Someone more knowledgeable in Nepenthes may pop in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Good growing,
Mike

Yep, let it grow. That plant may have a long brown dead looking stem near the soil. Thats ok. My Ventratas have those too. Theyll also get growth from those sides too, so its not really dead. Looks like that cutting is beginning to snap out of it!

Be sure to keep us updated! Nepenthes stems will turn brown to be able to better support the plant as they age but that does not mean they are dead.
