Those bulbs stay about a foot above three green healthy flytraps with that reddened in their traps. The won't burn the plants there, but my LED grow lights run much cooler than the T5s do.

I've been interested in doing led and Something I'd be able to make. But doesn't it cost more for led over the t5ho (per year)?

I haven't notice any significant increase. Here's some information about the new light I got installed a day or two ago. So far, the "kids" and I love their new toy. :)

When I ordered directly from a Mars Hydro salesman named "Sean Shao," I paid $184 tax-free dollars and he shipped for free. Mr. Shao and his coworker Ann Dong are delightful, trustworthy salespeople.

Yeah they sometimes run a deal on some, about how many plants you run under that single led system?

About 12 plants live under the new light. I'm planning to replace the four-bulb T5 fixture with another Mars II 400 to treat everyone equitably. :)

Sean Shao told me that to get the discount he gave me, I needed to order directly from a salesperson, not at the company's website. The "kids" and I love their new toy partly because it comes with a "Flower" button to promote blooming. But since I know that flytraps can flower themselves to death, the light stays in "Grow" mode.

Haha, flower button! Good one. That toy must be great for growing cannabis. The button turns on the red diodes. and possibly turns off the blue ones. Smart. :)

I've had different light setups and by far the coolest is full spectrum LED grow light. I was able to burn plants with white LEDs, the plants became somewhat chlorotic (especially tobacco seedlings - they turned yellow). Drosera seedlings could not turn red, as they did outside and even more so under full spectrum leds.

I'm planning to make a larger grow light setup. I intend to overwinter a couple of chillies this winter. Should be fun. :)
