Okay, so I built a growth cage out of pvc, right?
Well I forgot to calculate that it had to be at least 3 feet taller than the table my plants are on (because of my sarraceniae being so tall). My quick fix was that I would remove the table, and just sit my pots on some wood boards, to elevate them off the ground. After doing this, I realized an unforeseen problem: when my lawn gets mowed once a week, the grass trimmings fly everywhere and get all inside my CP pots.
Is this something that I need to prevent from happening, or should I just not worry about it?
So that people don't think there is a huge pile of grass on top of my plants, I will post some pics.
As always, I enjoy everyone's feedback, and I take all advice given into account.

Thanks,
Kris

I'm not sure but I thought grass thatch adds nutrients to soil as it breaks down. I would recommend preventing it, maybe place a temporary screen as you mow the lawn. Remove it there-after.

There doesn't seem to be much grass in the pot so I wouldn't worry about it. A bigger concern would be seeds getting in there and sprouting.

I agree with nimbulan, my plants get grass clippings in the pots all the time and it doesn't seem to bother them. As long as you aren't getting a thick blanket of grass clippings, you're good. Remember, these plants have all sorts of random things falling onto the soil in their native environment.
