It may be a hybrid as well, these regular store pitcher plants often are. It definitely has a lot of purpurea in it if that's the case.

By the way this is the sundew forum, not the pitcher plant forum.

It looks like some sort of purpurea or purpurea hybrid. Unfortunately it's very unlikely you'll ever truly know the parentage/species without a label. Looks great though! I would repot it and get it in a larger container before placing it in the brightest spot you can!

Nimbulan, calm down there buddy. It's not that big of a deal. One of the mods can move this thread fairly easily if needed

I didn't buy it. Probably should have. I bought 2 very healthy almost mature Dente fly traps.
