The downunder winter was harsh in my area, and a few health problems prevented me from taking the precautions I'd have liked to.

As a result, my Nepenthes very nearly died, and other plants had a hard time also.

Queensland? How cold did the winter get there?

btw- sorry about your plants! Unfortunately I am familiar with the headache that comes from dealing with struggling plants lol.

@SundewWolf: Oh, it gets cold enough, inland. We get the extremes, even very occasional sleet or snow.

That big Nep might be a goner, but I can at least give it a chance to do something with its few remaining green bits.

Looking on the bright side, I think my flytraps got a proper winter treatment.

How awful! lol. I've never been a fan of cold weather.

When I make the cheapo frostproof shelter, I'll be sure to post pics and instructions. I have a few months to plan the project.
