So I'm looking for a Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor "Cherry Top".

My question is, are all Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor, Cherry Tops? Or is Cherry Tops a cultivar for this hybrid?
I just want to know before I buy something online. The seller says yes it's a Cherry Top, but I'm not getting a confident vibe from them

There is no stupid question

Cherry top is only the nectar spoon, on every heliamphora's pitcher if the plant is grown under the right conditions.

This nectar spoon attract the insects with a sweet nectar, strong colors and UV reflection.

I think that ebay vendor just want to identify the heliamphora genus, because h.heterodoxa x minor can have a big helmet shaped red spoon.

Its like saying monkey cup for the nepenthes's pitchers.

Are you saying Cherry Tops aren't really an official thing?

Example:
This is labelled "Cherry Top" by the seller:

This one looks almost the same, but isn't labelled "Cherry Top":

I just want a Cherry Top! Have I said that enough? Cherry Top! lol

You can buy any heliamphora species in the world, and your plant will always have a cherry top

Its just a 'nickname' given by the vendor.

The price can be very high on ebay. I think you can buy some great heliamphora on this website. (Flytrapstore). They are backorder right now, but im pretty sure they will be back soon.
