I was just wondering if the Espoma Organic 100% natural sphagnum peat moss and perlite was okay. I know it says 100% natural, but recently my sundews which were potted in it took a turn for the worse.

Just to be safe it's always a good idea to rinse your media before you use it. Some growers here leave their peat moss in distilled water for weeks at a time for this reason . I personally think this is overkill but you should definitely give it a few energetic rinses in (good, low TDS) tap water then rinse again in distilled to make sure any extra minerals and nutrients are disposed of.

If your tap water is high in TDS two or three quick rinses in distilled water will do the job. Just using it straight out of the bag isn't recommended.
