Wow. Thanks for the link. Very interesting, the idea of capturing not only the intensity of light striking a sensor through the lens, and then interpolating the color, but also capturing the vector data to include in the digital file, so that focus can be changed afterward. Amazing. I wonder if the depth of field can be changed also, or just the focal plane itself. I mean, for any particular focal plane, I wonder if one can adjust the digital photo for greater or lesser depth of field.
Very interesting stuff, David! Thanks! My fear is that the software necessary to interpret and edit the digital files that the camera produces will only work on a Microsoft operating system (and I have used Linux exclusively now for 14 years).
