Can black lights at night be used as supplemental lighting for flytraps. Has anybody done this? Preliminary research has shown me that it does little to nothing for growth but may effect coloration in red pigmented plants.

I couldn't find information anywhere else in the forums so figured I would just start a new topic about it.

Black lighting is interesting. As far as I know consistant lighting will eventually harm the plant, as they need a photoperiod to be happy and healthy but I do not know if this applies to black lighting. I look forward to seeing what others think!
