I had a quick question.
My flava rubricopora flowered Jan 28th and the petals fell off maybe a week or two after it opened. I didn't see any pollen on the umbrella nor did I see any when I rubbed a q-tip on the anthers. I believe it may have been to cold since the temperatures went from being in the upper 50's lower/mid 60's back down to 30's during the day and teens at night when the flower opened. I don't know though. Anyways, I still tried to self it but don't think I'll have any luck. The flower is still wide open and the ovary doesn't look like its changing. My flava var. cuprea is flowering and seems to be showing signs of opening soon.
So here is my question: How long can a flower be open and still be receptive to pollen? Should I even bother trying to pollinate my rubri with my cuprea?
