Hello, forum!

I'm thinking about purchasing a Pinguicula Alfred Lau #13, but since it's a newer ping in cultivation, I could not find any sources on its care. Does it have a suculent phase in the winter?

Thanks in advence!

It seems to be a variety of gigantea so same conditions likely apply. I have one and am not doing anything too different.

this seems to be indeed a P. gigantea .

for mine P.gigantea, here, there are a succulent phase by a smaller leaves(often 2 times smaller) , with mucilage on the lower surface just on a midrib and its surroundings.

but in winter I grow it with a dry or very slightly wet calcareous substrate

P. AL #13 is not new to cultivation. It has been in cultivation for at least 20 years, probably more. As others said, it is a form of or closely related to P. gigantea.
