Hey guys, in July, I received a small pinguicula laueana and and a small emarginata from California Carnivores. Both arrived very healthy, and the emarginata had a flower. I left them on a sunny windowsill sitting in a tray of water for two months at around 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and they pretty much stayed the exact same, no new growth, no new flowers. Last month I moved them into my 100 gallon terrarium, with 100% humidity, over 80 degrees, and a solid 1-2 hours daily of windowsill sunlight, but still nothing. I wouldn't say the plants are doing poorly, they just look like the exact same dime sized plants since I bought them, and no flowers. I fertilize them with maxsea once a month as well. Any help would be extremely appreciated as I would love to see the beautiful flowers on these guys. My guess is that I am not giving them enough sunlight.

I'm new to pings as well . Mine are at 55-70% relative humidity and get 14hrs of T5 HO light about 6 inches away. Im betting if you give them more light they will start sprouting new growth. I would love for mine to flower but I'd rather know the are healthy. I figure they will flower when they are ready.

Bonjour

for me the ping are not a terra species except some species
emarginata can be part of it with flowering throughout the year

may be reduce the watering

laueana actually goes into dormancy from october to may ,in times of growth (may to october) it needs a lot of light , they can be taken outdoor without problems at this period like a lot of others ping .

Okay, I think I'm going to take both plants out and put them back on a sunny windowsill and hopefully they will do better. Here are images. Thanks for the help everyone.

emarginata can rest in terra with a good hygrometry but substrate slightly wet

laueana , actually in dormancy until May , substrate slightly wet ( not in terra )

in dormancy always good light and always temperature above 5°c ( 40°F )

Yeah, they need a ton more light. They should have shorter leaves in a nice rosette, long leaves like that mean they're searching for light. They're also supposed to be a light green with color around the edges, not dark green.
