I just leave mine outside all year round on a spare little table I had. In the heat of summer, I try and give them a place where they get shade, and in the rainy season some shelter. They have done pretty well outside, catch plenty of food. Depends where you live though. I live in South Spain so that's growing zone 10, but we have a micro-climate that has a big effect also and gives us a bit of a subtropical ...errr, thingy.
