Will be adding new specimens to my current outdoor bog garden. In zone 6a. Any suggestions/improvements or carnivorous/ non carnivorous plants I should add? Is it safe to release dragonfly larvae and some water skippers into the bog? I currently only have spiders lacewings and solitary wasps as pest prevention but them mosquito larvae are getting out of hand lol

The dragonfly larvae will gladly eat the mosquito larvae. However, they won't be able to catch all of them. If you want to eradicate them, try Mosquito Dunks. This is the "biological warfare" approach, and it wipes out the larvae in 24 hours. You can find Dunks on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc.; just double-check the price to make sure the seller isn't ripping you off.

Thanks for the info. Is it safe around the plants or do I add it to the water dish than put the plants back in? I've never used them before

It is safe for everything except larvae. It is a bacteria that kills the larvae. The package says that it is even safe for stock tanks, although I won't try it, and I definitely won't be drinking from it.

Do keep in mind that, without the skeeter larvae, you’re dragonfly nymphs will likely die off.

I decided to keep the mosquito larvae for my bladderwort and waterwheel plants as well as infusoria. I think it will help with the natural cycle. As well as feed the dragonfly nymphs.
