My Drosera regias are waking up and exploding into Spring growth.
The first regia to throw out a flower scape is one of my "Son of Twister" gang.
These are grown from seed produced by Fishman's "Twister" specimen of Drosera regia.
It tied its leaves into Gordian knots far above what you'd see from the average regia.
This year I plan to only pollinate SOT flowers with SOT pollen.
Wish me luck.
Hopefully, I can donate enough regia seed from this group to satisfy everyone's beauty and grooming regimes.
:)

Thanks,
Mike

Update on "Son of Twister" flower scape:
The first flower opened today.
Around mid-day, the pollen looked fluffy and puffed out so I harvested it with a tiny paint brush.
I put the pollen in a seed envelope and tossed it in the fridge.
The sigmas are not ready to receive the pollen yet, they look like tiny straight blades of white grass.
Tomorrow or the next day, they should open and feather out, telling me they are receptive.
This year, I will only pollinate "Son of Twister "flowers with pollen from "Son Of Twister " plants.

That is a beautiful flower, Mike. Hoping for great success on the pollination!!! Just curious, how big would that flower be?

It's pretty big for a Drosera flower.
It measures 1 1/2 inches diameter with an honest -non fish measuring ruler.

Wow! That *is* a big one!!! (with no suspicious glances toward the fish ruler  ). I think my largest flowers have been on my Florida Red White Flowers and they've only gotten to maybe a touch over 5/8"! That's a beautiful color and texture, too. :D
