When you do repot them you should get a better idea if they should be divided or not.
If both plants have large roots then division will be easy.
You may also find that they are already mostly separated. But then again they might be conjoined like twins.
So I know the answer "it depends" isn't great, but keep in mind that this is a hardy plant, and likely in your care a division or cutting will be easy to establish.
