I just chopped up my maxima into a bunch of one node cuttings. With luck they will strike over winter, and I'll have plenty to sell/trade.

Yes I forgot to mention, it's a confirmed male, so you could cross it with the be maxima if you wanted to.

I'm letting the cuttings soak for a day, I applied rooting hormone, and I'll be potting them up tomorrow.

Just curious, I’ve never done a single node cutting. What was your desire, to have more plants to sell ? If you get 100% success, then tell me your secret. I’ve often used 2, mostly 3 nodes, to give the plant the opportunity to wake up another dormant node, in the event that the first activated one has an issue…

Idk I figured there must be a defined amount of nodes that have the capability of growing, and a bunch of one node cuttings just means the ones that don't will die.

First time doing cuttings though, I wanted to maximize plants. 19 cuttings made.

Node activation on about half of them. One out of 19 has died, so far good rates.

How many leaves should I wait for them to make before I repot?

To be safe, maybe 3-4+ (or wait for their first pitcher).

Ok, I guess I'll try that. Once spring hits I'll throw them outside, and repot at first pitcher.

Alright they have not made pitchers yet but have gotten to their 3rd or 4rth leaf, so I have decided to repot them all individually and auction them off. I'm going to buy some electronics to automate my stuff with some of the profits, hoping I can have an wifi arduino control my setups before I leave for college.
