Sorry, I didn't see your second post.

From what I've heard, you should wait until the basil has roots. I'm not sure you can just pluck them off like you could with sarracenia. I'm no professional though, but maybe somebody with more experience could step in and help?

From all the videos I watched my basal was much bigger than the size they removed theirs. Some recommended rooting hormones but I don't have any. Does anybody know anything that I make at home to help it or do only the online products work?

Does the basal growth have any pitchers on it? I have a couple basal growths on my N. Miranda but I am waiting until they pitcher before I try to cut and propagate them. Several tutorials on YouTube say to wait until the basal growth has leaves with pitchers before cutting them off. Not sure if they can be taken sooner. I don’t think rooting hormone is entirely necessary either, it only aids in the process.
