then it is dragon fruit or baby tears. I learned the hard way a couple years ago when i went to visit my relatives in china

The Chinese scam sellers all use AliExpress, eBay, and Amazon (and probably other websites too.) On eBay at least it's easy to tell where the seller is from. If the price is too good to be true, or they're advertising something impossible (like blue sundews) then it's a scam.

Sellers located in countries where Nepenthes grow natively will also often sell suspiciously cheap seeds and those are all but guaranteed to be wild collected.
