Hey there!

I think I'm finally starting to relent... I'd love to get my hands on an LED grow panel (or a really fancy bulb!) so that I can grow some Mexican Pinguicula seed over the winter, as well as boost my current seedlings as they aren't ready for the winter dry quite yet; I've perused the forums but, unfortunately, it would seem that a lot of the US based companies don't have UK equivalents. Amazon and eBay (.co.uk) searches bring up one of two things: 1) lighting sets that cost well over £1,000 and 2) cheapie lights from China (despite selecting "UK Only" stores).

I do have a rather limited budget (so limited that I shall not mention numbers!) so thought some preliminary research would be best for now, and was wondering if anyone here could recommend a good, reliable LED light (whether a panel or bulb) that would be suitable for this purpose that is available in the UK without having to import or anything.

Thank you!

Thanks, Jds, I didn't know they now sold light bulbs! Looking at the products, I am not sure that they would be powerful enough for Mexican Pinguicula; the lights appear to be more for nano aquariums so I'm not sure that they would provide enough power for a terrestrial plant.

As for your question, either is absolutely fine! It depends on your preference. :-)
