Once I received gibba as a freebie, but I didn't have any idea what to do with it, so I tossed it in one of my water trays and promptly forgot all about it. When fall rolled around I found that I had a bunch of the stuff happily growing like mad in the tray. Never did get it to flower though.

Well, it looks like it's getting enough light (that was my problem) so you might want to try feeding your clumps more than you already do, and if you don't do dormancy, you might give that a try as sometimes it can help reluctant bloomers along even for those plants that don't require a dormancy period.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but harvested with permission from UT Knoxville, or harvested when nobody was looking?
Most botanical gardens that I've been to don't let random people just take plants, even if they are on a field trip.

Best way to get plants, from a friend with permission.
Maybe you can repay the favor in the future.
