I'm compiling images of nepenthes species to use in training a neural network on identifying them. I've been using web scraping to compile images, but they are proving to be poor quality. I've been doing it by hand and it's a slow process. I'm asking for help with putting good quality pictures together in one place.
Please donate pictures of the nepenthes species in your collections and post them here. If you have location information or clone information, please include that as well. I've attached pictures of the species in my collection just for fun, but also as an example of what I'm looking for. Get as close to the 'classic' pitcher picture as you can for consistency. The tool is intended for cultivated plants, so this is desired. If it's a horticultural cross, please include the parentage.
I don't plan on doing anything with the images except having them sit in my file system so I can train a model off of them. Tom's carnivores website has a similar tool (although it's currently offline), I'm aiming for something like that. Thanks!
